When Lisa Haisha said, “Great leaders don’t set out to be a leader. They set out to make a difference. It is never about the role. It is always about the goal,” she was probably referring to Tayo Rockson.

Tayo Rockson is a passionate leader, writer, consultant, and public speaker who is on a crusade to build generational leaders and teach them how to make an impact through powerful communication. Raised in Nigeria, Sweden, Burkina Faso, and Vietnam, Tayo is the CEO of UYD Management, a leadership and consulting firm that helps brands incorporate sustainable diversity and inclusion practices.

One compelling attribute of Tayo is his ability to use his podcasts to educate people on how to embrace their global identity, and become global leaders in all walks of life. Everything he does revolves around building global leaders. His podcast, “As Told by Nomads,” is quite educational and features interviews with multinational nomads having insightful conversations on what it takes to be global leaders and not just local leaders.

Tayo’s book, Use Your Difference to Make a Difference: How to Connect and Communicate in a Cross-Cultural World, was published in 2019. The book shows readers how to utilize their disparities to associate with others and roll out a critical improvement in this world, and this is why it has become one of Tayo’s best selling books.

Tayo’s love for the connection between cultures is quite attractive. His ever-growing zeal to help individuals and organizations build global mindsets to tell stories about culture is highly appreciated, and his efforts do not go unseen. We must say we cannot wait to see more projects from him.
